November Kitchen +
This project started with a look at a kitchen remodel and has expanded greatly. We changed out a patio door that was part of the kitchen. The next part of the project was tackling the kitchen. Originally a rental unit many years ago, the owners have been in the home for 20+ years. The home was in need of many updates. The kitchen was desperately calling for attention. We removed the original cabinets, counter-tops, and back-splash. The refrigerator was moved to a wall by itself and a cabinet over the top for storage was added. We moved the stove to the center of one wall with cabinets on both sides. We installed new cabinets in the sink area and the remaining part of that wall. The back-splash was tiled on two walls. The chimney in the corner was an obstacle in the original kitchen as well as the entryway next to it. The entryway was closed in, new sheetrock on two walls, updated electric and plumbing insuring a workable kitchen.
We moved on to replacing the entry doors, both rear & front. Vinyl lumber was used to trim the ext door surrounds to give the exterior less maintenance. While the project was underway electrical problems were noted and and updated with a new service panel relocated to a safer location.
Two bathroom remodels will complete the project and are scheduled in Dec. & Jan.
Pictures will be posted this weekend documenting all of the upgrades.
